An interesting example how the older barn is left to the elements and replaced by a new version.
In support of the Barn Collective.
Oh I hope the older one gets renovated. I like the design of the old one.

progress clears the nostalgia of the past...

Wonder if the new one will acquire 'character' over the decades . . I have my doubts.

The old barn had much more charm than the news but regrettably the time got the better of her. Nevertheless that they are beautiful these barns in the round roofs

I think the old barn has so much more character than the new. But we all must make way

The old barn has so much more warmth and character.

Aesthetically the old barn is nicer. I guess the farmer does not need to be nice. He needs the barn practical.
Well seen !!

I prefer the old version. It has such a classic and textured look

The old barn might have been used for livestock, while the new one looks more suitable for equipment. I don't know, but it is a guess. Well captured photo!

Oh, my! I do love this shot. I love that poor old barn, and I love the sky and the background. Just something about the mood of the shot is wonderful.

That old one is a leaner. They've braced it to help it stand a bit longer.

I'd like to own the newer barn but I enjoy looking at the old one! Thanks Don for linking up and I hope that you return again. Tom The Backroads Traveller

A great find Don... lots of character in that old barn... the new one doesn't compare, for sure!

I seem to see this a lot. The poor old barn is just left to fall down. The newer barns just don't have the character or beauty as the old barns do.

Great contrast. Old and New side by side. Old order changes yielding place to new ... :)

The old gray barn seems to have a bit of a sag in the middle. I hope it gets the attention it deserves to remain in service many more years.
