The gate, while plain and not very decorative, does identify the ranch. The letters have faded to near obscurity.
Yes, a little paint would spruce that up!

Well done frame-within-a-frame. The letters are faded, but I'm not sure whether I'd like to see new, fancy letters - more readable but less charming.
