
I spotted these flowers beside my house. They have blown in from somewhere else. I like the distinctive look of the blossoms. Shot in the breeze. Ephemeral Virginia supplied by tataray.
how rich and deep the color is. i haven't seen this before.

These flowers are not unknowns but "Dicentras" which we call collectively in France " Short-lived of Virginia " (Ephémères de Virginie). Lovely capture

Excellent clarity along with gorgeous colors that really "pop" here!! The lighting reveals great texture as well within the petals.

Checked my handy Western Garden Book. I'm wondering if this could be the Spiderwort(Tradescantia) that is referred to as Tradescantia virginiana. The description matches but this picture is so much more beautiful than the pic in the book.
