Colville Indian Reservtion

Posted by
Don (Spokane, United States) on 12 May 2014 in Landscape & Rural.

The Confederated Tribes have 8,700 descendants from 12 aboriginal tribes.
The most common of the indigenous languages spoken on the reservation is Colville-Okanagan, a Salishan language. We drove one way to Okanagan but came by via the reservation which is much more scenic and physically interesting.

This reserve seems to have a lot of charm but maybe that it would have remained more attractive for her inhabitants without this road which crosses her... It is an attractive ribbon of asphalt

The road forms an effective "S" leading through the frame. I like the hilly, rocky landscape and today's shot looks like it could be Washington.
