An attractive church now abandoned, but still retaining it's shape and proportions. I would hope the community would see its heritage value and allocate money to restore it. I post a church each Sunday in support of Sally Saw.
I share your hope here, Don . . might be a long wait, though . .

Yes a lovely combination of shapes. Do they ever sell them off to be converted into homes over there?

that is sad. yet i so enjoy the view. find it interesting with the one green replacement window - i guess that means some one decided they needed to redecorate. what a great place. ( :

A fine old church to see abandoned. That's an interesting chimney and support.

That's a wonderful old church. It's a shame to see it abandon like it is.

I share your hopes that this old beauty is preserved, even if it's disassembled and parts of it--like the steeple and wondows --used in other buildings. Recently I posted about an abandoned chapel in Louisville that has been converted to a private home with great results.

you wonder about all of the people who have worshipped there

It's sad ... This small church has a beautiful human scale and interesting architectural details ... Great shot !!!

That is sad because it is a beautiful church. It is too bad that it could be moved and used elsewhere.

Interesting little church. The cluttered background detracts from the overall image, though.

Again, this is a lovely Sunday image and interesting ages architecture.

This church has a charm about it.... it looks like there was some thought that went into the design.... I hope they do restore it, it would be a shame not to! A beautiful capture Done, I enjoyed!

It looks like it's in the front yard of that house. I bet they wish someone would restore it, too.
18 Jun 2013 2:40am
Oh, no. Such a shame. Beautiful building.
18 Jun 2013 12:02pm
... yet still standing proud! a shame that such an attractive building should be abandoned and no longer used !
18 Jun 2013 3:05pm
I hope somebody does restore this one, Don. I really like it. Thank you for sharing it last week.
