A repost of a church for Sally Saw. This community church near the little town of Mt. Hope was built in 1887. I liked its size and the simplicity of the building. As Susan Rose pointed out, services at this church ended in 1987.
Very nice human size church. I prefer them like this warm and friendly than ours huge and cold.

These little churches are always picturesque. Hmmm...the dates of "1887 - 1987" tell me this church has closed its Sunday-morning doors. But since it's kept in such good repair, maybe it's being used for meetings, etc. NICE CAPTURE.

Lovely little church, I was wondering how a wide angle shot including more of the surrounding landscape would look like.

Sieht gut aus diese kleine Kirche. Schöner Anstrich.

It really is incredibly simple, but I like the simplicity of it and how it almost looks deserted.

It looks like an idyllic scene - too bad it is in disuse.

Agree with Veronique in that I am drawn to this little building rather than some vast edifice . . sorry to read it is no longer in use.

It seems to be a place for show now... I used to go to a little church like this as a child with my grandmother. A wonderful capture Don, I love that little well and the bench.... beautiful!

A small and attractive church with an unusual trim color. And it looks like it is in the middle of nowhere.

At least it's still well-maintained. I wonder how many people could fit in there.

Just beautiful- love the setting too.

I love how it is hard to tell where the earth and sky meet. Looks like the church is sitting in the middle of nowhere.

I like this, Don. I wonder if the bell was ever in a tower on the church. Thanks for sharing in InSPIREd Sunday this week.

So much to appreciate about this little church--the trim color so compatible against the evergreens, the well, and the interesting roofline. I hope you got to peek inside too, Don. Bet it's simple but beautiful like the exterior.
