A collected driftwood adds to the interest of this Pacific coast beach. I liked the shot for the fading of the off-shore rocks and subtle coloring of the sky.
The couple help with understanding the scale.
Those are some gargantuan rocks!

Wow, that's almost surreal!

What an impressive seascape. And more impressive when I see the people size :-)

Beautifully captured Don

Wonderful Don and what surprising scale those figures give

Sehr stimmungsvolles Licht. Gut mit den beiden Spaziergängern. Vor allem der mit der roten Jacke.

Great composition and approach. Beautiful.

Wow, this is really beautiful! I wish we were there for an early morning walk!

That OR coast is such a wonderful place for evocative images.
Glad you had a couple of bodies in there for scale.
6 Jan 2013 12:59pm
Beautiful indeed, Don.

i like their spots of color amongst the grays.
6 Jan 2013 3:12pm
Great details in the mist
6 Jan 2013 4:29pm
it's great to have the people for scale, i thought the whole scene was much smaller...
6 Jan 2013 5:13pm
petit l'homme face à la nature ,
That certainly is some driftwood. The Pacific is amazing to look at, but also quite treacherous. Can you imagine being in a pleasure boat and colliding with one of those floating trees?
6 Jan 2013 5:16pm
This place looks truly giant, unless... they are very, very tiny ! :-)
6 Jan 2013 5:25pm
Oooh now you've gone and done it! I love this. Moody indeed, and the textures are great. I'm not sure of the perspective which makes it even more mysterious. Love the graduated misty layers. Those shockingly tiny figures in red & blue just make this a jaw dropper. 5 stars from me.

superbe image!! amitiés

The rocks make a strong image. The two persons, especially those in the red jacket, invigorate the overall view.
6 Jan 2013 6:57pm
Wow its like the Land of Giants, very surreal shot!
6 Jan 2013 7:01pm
It has a dreamy atmosphere. I love the texture of the driftwood too

Indeed: the scale and the composition make this one very interesting!

Your comments cover everything I was going to say I like. The bright garb makes this almost appear selectively desaturated, but the deep green on the hillside seems to indicate that nature, not photoshop, removed the color.

Great shot Don.
6 Jan 2013 10:10pm
Gorgeous image! Those rocks are so big! The people provide such a great scale for the rocks. Great POV!

perfect perspective and proportions with this lovely mist ...

All the driftwood amazes me on the beaches of the PNW! =)
8 Jan 2013 5:27pm
those people look really small amidst all the debris, nice shot!
9 Jan 2013 3:35am
I like how the people just seem so insignificant...
