Don - Slackwater (
On my way home from coffee, I stopped to see how the fog had transformed the pond and buildings nearby. Even though rather dense, these morning fogs usually dissipate mid-morning. While the composition is unbalanced, I like some darker objects in the foreground for contrast in the image.
This one has a mysterious mood! This fog would be easy to get lost in!

Composition looks fine to me Don, sometimes bending the rules just works!

The hint of trees off to the right in the dense fog makes this wonderful,
"balanced" or not. ;D

that's one thick fog! i hate to be driving in this kind of condition.. makes for a fine effect in a photo op though.. :)

(your pond seems to be to you what my canal was/is to me ... so interesting and versatile throughout the year ...)

Lovely B&W, Don. I agree with your commment about needing darker objects in the foreground. The farhtest trees disappearing in the fog are tantalizingly faint.
