As we approached Omak, we were on an elevated road which gave me this good viewpoint. A drive-by shot of the Okanogan River which flows through Omak and Okanogan which is nearby. It's a friendly town that hosts the annual 4-day rodeo event with the famous Sucide Race where "horses and riders run down Suicide Hill, a 62-degree slope that runs for 225 feet (69 m) to the Okanogan River. The race has provoked serious concerns among animal welfare and animals rights groups.
