This horse was a bit curious, but I liked the stance near the old apparently abandoned truck. A truck may or may not start, but a horse is always ready to give its all: one horse power.
A lovely horse.

Ah, yes, the horse knew the days of the truck were numbered !

Une belle composition avec la machine et le cheval... Magnifique.)

Don, I think you're being overly optimistic about the horse being "always ready." Some of them have their own agenda. : )
A cheerful, interesting photo!

The horse seems to be saying I have the staying power! Well seen and captured Don! ;-)

The horse looks a lot more reliable than the truck. Although the tires look good! The tarp over the mirror looks like the truck is evaluating the horse.

"No! I am NO climbing up on the flat bed," it seems to be saying ... great sighting and capture, Don!

The car seems to have been used extensively and it's a nice composition with the horse in the foreground

Beautiful image. Nice concept and great title. Yes,it is all a cycle, perhaps ... Great. Love it. :)
2 Jul 2012 5:42pm
Yes, well said, Don. A nice contrasting of transportation modes, and of course the horse if far more beautiful !
2 Jul 2012 6:03pm
Nicely spotted and well shot. Another important point is that a horse can forage for its own fuel, but a truck requires another truck bring in gasoline. Plus, you might be able to get spare parts for a truck, but if you need a new one you need a truck factory; with horses all you need is two horses and time.

Well seen and captured and great title :-)

Great image. It looks like the horse is boasting to that old truck.

Excellent pair of subjects Don... they go together perfectly in this rural farm setting, both being a form of transportation at one time or another.
3 Jul 2012 1:21am
Great comparison of horsepower ... Beautiful shot !!!
