A final image in the Water Works series. I felt this one was needed to put all the closer in images together. Unfortunately the grass was high enough to obscure part of the doors. My friend, David, has emailed the Rockford Historical Society and Evelyn responded that this was built by the WWP in 1916-1917. Here is Evelyn's blog comment: "Hi Don, Thank you so much for seeing the beauty in our old WWP pump house. In 1989 we held a town Centennial celebration. All profits went to fund a new metal roof, which has helped to preserve this great old building. Seeing the worldwide response to your beautiful photographs of one of our local treasures is indeed inspriring. Thank you! Evelyn Fricke, Rockford Area Museum & Historical Society."
