Out in the middle of a wheat field, this shed and windmill were still standing. Sadly this once sturdy shed and water supply were now left to weather into the ground. I felt it was a lead in image for Barn Tuesday coming tomorrow.
We could believe, by seeing the state of this shed abandoned, that a big blow of wind would be enough to put her totally K.O.

The shed and windmill are definitely on their last legs.

What a primitive place!

Fossilization might well be the next step in the process here !

I like this picture! :)

I like the graying wood and how you can see the beams on the inside. I also like the landscape in the background. Nice shot!

Magnifique ... même s'il est prêt à s'envoler !... ))

Abandoned and very attractive in a strange way. I like how it looks stark against the golden field and pure blue sky. The windmill adds another dimension. Nice, Don!

Wonderful photo! Great find!

Oh, yes! What a shot. I would love to know how old this one is...it has such a lonesome feel to it.

A very good one, definitely with an isolated abandoned feel. I also like this rolling landscape that holds it in place.

Superbe captage de cette vielle ferme on se demande comment elle tient debout, fantastique compo et iamge
26 Sep 2011 3:31pm
There is not much left of that place now. Nice capture.

Oh, this poor old building. A strong breeze could be the final straw.

How many times have I seen similar types of buildings in rural areas around here? I find them fascinating.

A lost barn ;-)
26 Sep 2011 5:57pm
Well seen. A wonderful shot. An old and abandoned shed. :)
26 Sep 2011 6:20pm
i guess this barn will soon turn into "landscape" again! must have been an impressive, well-made structure in its days, though ...

Lovely decay image. I guess it won't be there for long.

a sign of the times?

rugged but pretty.

defiantly a good picture for the barn cam!
Hope you have a good week don!

This is really simple Don, but all the lines and textures and elements are so nicely balanced. It's a serene and nostalgic image.

What a super and yet heart tugging shot.
so many like that in EW. MB

What a beautiful rustic image!! I bet that barn has seen a lot of wind but has settle right in place where it is now rolled up in a position where it is comfortably protected from falling over ;) All the boards are locked into a twisted place ;) And the haggard windmill.....it's age shows beauty!
27 Sep 2011 12:18am
Cool one, I like the framing of the shot and the derelict simplicity it captures.
27 Sep 2011 2:30am
Everything looks abandoned here. Even the windmill. The way all the boards are inclined it almost looks like a hard wind is blowing.
27 Sep 2011 3:02am
It looks like that windmill could use a touch of love.
27 Sep 2011 4:08am
That's a great shot, I really like it.
28 Sep 2011 1:22am
This tumble-down shack stands out nicely from the dried grass and pale blue background.
28 Sep 2011 11:46am
excellent shot, i love how the windmill lost its propellers
28 Sep 2011 2:41pm
love it... love the old run down weathered shed & the windmill, still trying to sand tall & proud
