We visited this beautiful valley yesterday on a photo hunt. Rock Creek Valley was formed by enormous glacial action that carved out a number of lakes and valleys south of Spokane. I've chosen this descending view of the valley to show the massive basalt walls on either side. Rock Creek meandering through the valley affords canoeing from Bonnie Lake to the north through this valley to Rock Lake farther south. The gravel road is typical of roads in this remote area.
