This old Case Thresher is located at the Clayton, Washington Fairgrounds. These machines were powered by a long belt connected to a tractor. The wheat was brought to the thresher and loaded into the hopper still folded under at the right end of the machine. Threshed grain was separated from the chaff and blown through the vertical tubes into a waiting truck or trailer. The the remaining straw was blown out the back into a huge pile. A U-tube video of a Case thresher like this one in operation can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvB2Hk9vG3g.
