Nishinomiya Japanese Garden at Manito Park

Posted by Don (Spokane, United States) on 27 June 2011 in Documentary & Street.

The Japanese garden is a unique feature of Manito Park honoring Spokane's sister city. I liked this tiny falls, but was impressed with the variety of leaf color in the surrounding shrubs. Manito Park is a 90 acres, public park located Spokane's South Hill. It features five gardens, and the Gaiser Conservatory.

This image leaps off the page and calls to me...a wonder composition, Don. Nice work! I think I could sit in this spot for hours and listen to the sound of falling water.

One of those images that totally captures the imagination on a 'want to be there' basis . . what a wonderful scene of a landscape beautifully crafted.

What fabulous, soft color transitions, and peaceful elements. I'm afraid if I lived nearby I would go there every day. I choose peace, you know?

"Oh wow, that's so nice" was the immediate thought even before I had lined up the full view of this beautiful setting. I love the framing, and these muted colour notes where the leaves have begun to change. Great shot, Don.

Delectable Don
I will be rather frantic with summer over the next couple of weeks or so and may not get to visit often, if at all, but will play catch up when I can.

A fine shot of this lovely garden. There is nothing finer than a Japanese garden to look at. I just wouldn't want to maintain one.
