Condos on the river

Posted by
Don (Spokane, United States) on 16 April 2011 in Architecture.

These condos are on the Spokane River as it leaves Lake Coeur d'Alene and flows over several dams on its way to Spokane. So boaters here have complete access to the lake which is 25 miles long (40k) with 109 miles of shoreline (175k). They cannot go downstream because of a nearby dam. This is how the other half lives! :-)

It's fun to see these condos and their unique window on the world that flows past them. :-)

Strange how that converted industrial style has caught on so . . it's starting to look almost 'normal' !

They sure fill up the wateredge. I would prefer a little cabin on a wooded shoreline----if there is any left. MB

C'est ainsi que tout devient inondable.
On détruit la nature, et celle-ci parfois se révolte. ))
Je préfère un endroit isolé.
Mais bien fait de nous montrer Don.)

They are packed in pretty tightly, but I'll bet the unimpeded water views more than make up for it. A nice clear, natural light shot.

Not bad either, although it seems they are very close build next to another..but there is still
the beautiful view over the lake they have..Nice shot!

From yesterday's isolation to today's side-by-side. I do like the lovely clouds and sky. and I wouldn't mind a vacation home in one of those buildings!

Architecture ultra moderne, par contre les maisons sont un peu trop proches de l'eau ... attention les catastrophes !

Great modern houses, but as Chris said - a bit too close together. Excellent sharp image.

IF I were rich enough to afford one of those, I would have a place where I was not right on top of someone else!
