Another shot of the Palouse country south of Spokane about 50 miles (80.4k)
I liked this shot for the way the sunlight fell across the hills and the difference the ripening wheat made to the image. A scanned medium format negative.
Reminds me of an A.Adams kind of image, well executed frame Don. I like how the soft highlights are working in the distance.

this has to be one of my favourit palouse pictures, don! everything comes together here - the elegant curves of terrain and road, the superb light management that leads to this elegant mixture of sun and shade, and the astonishing and very effective dof! a true winner!

Le noir et blanc est superbe, comme pour la composition. L'argentique procure vraiment un résultat différent du numérique pour la photo de paysage, aussi bien dans les tonalités du noir et blanc que pour la dynamique.
