Below Nine Mile Dam

This is a view of the powerhouse on the Spokane River just beyond the Nine Mile Dam, about six miles west of my location. (9.6k) The dam's spillway is barely visible to the left of the building. "The plant was built in 1906-1908 in a remote canyon on the Spokane River, and includes a powerhouse which is structurally integral with the dam. When complete, the plant provided power for the Spokane and Inland Empire Railway system."
