I took this near a fishing business on the coast. This image may have been previously shown when I was blogging on my-expressions, but this picture is a new scan whose results are closer to what I was wanting. I hope you like it.
Wow! fantastic shot! Excellent composition and details...

The beauty of lace, some fragile and delicate; some simple and heavy.
You've caught these assembled nets so beautifully.

Terrific texture combination, well composed

Ah, the ultimate in textures, I guess . . so strange how nets form their own art like this !
3 Dec 2010 9:49am
And the result is excellent Don. I like the textures!

Lovely scan capturing the many textures and lines of the netting. These nets have certainly seen days.

Like the marine world and I love the composition of this beautiful black and white

How many storms? How many pains? And finally fishers let you there, poor old nets, fishers let you there when they are themselves left around the corner...
Great black and white tones, Don.

wonderful in b&w! great patterns and a well-chosen format!

You should have posted a link so we can compare the two versions, but this is a fine B&W image. Wood and rope - who could ask for more when loaded with Plus-X, Tri-X or HP5 ?

@Harry: Harry I think it was T-Max 400 which I felt was much smoother and less contrast than the 100. My old favorite, of course, was Tri-X. I went back through all the my-expressions months and couldn't spot it there either.
I more than like it; I love it. It's like a symphony of netting and textures woven with a vast array of blacks, white, and grey tones. Really very appealing.
