Flower exhibits at the local fair are best seen the first day they are shown. Even though the displays are formalized and lack the beauty of flowers in the garden, I still like to take advantage of the prize blossoms as subjects for shooting. The "flower" rooms are always popular... Strangely the blossoms I want to shoot attract people standing directly in front of my camera!:-) Early morning hours seem best for shooting when fewer people have arrived.

Isn't it great that all over the world folk are striving, competing, agonising about the perfect Dahlia! They must put so much into it each year, and the pride when they exhibit-or even better win - is palpable. What a lovely shot of this international tradition

Good morning Don,
This flower looks more than a particularly beautiful. This is my favorite of the day. The excellent deep color is an eye-catcher for every flower friend. The white background makes the flowers, including color, the perfect beauty. The flower is very tastefully presented and for each viewer a feast for the eyes. Heart and soul enjoying the sight. 10 *****************stars and more. Have a nice day and all the best incl. your family and friends. Dear greetings Christel and Detlev
