Don - Slackwater (
My daughter bought a new poppy plant which finally developed a bud and now bloomed. I like his shot because of its detail and the tiny ant checking the flower out.

Yup, first thing I saw was the ant - years of visual training pays off ! But what a gloriously fragile flower, too . . growing these is the ultimate in participation.

Good afternoon Don,
it is a particularly large and beautiful poppies bloom. The little ant, I discovered, too. The blurred background brings the brilliant colors and light shadows, very well expressed. For this I give you 5 stars ***** for this day is called for rain and thunderstorms. The sky darkens slowly and I hear thunder rumbling in the distance. The heat has become unbearable. This flower is huge....is it as big as it looks too? The colors are wonderful! I never can grow poppies!
