At a local nursery a set of handcrafted chairs caught my attention. This one had such style and massiveness that I had to get its picture. The individual ribs in the seat and back were screwed on. The well weathered look over the years had enhanced its appearance. I suspect it was not for sale.
What a great find. Wonderfully captured. I like the textures and the lines!

The ribbing is very nicely done and you have captured the distress of ageing nicely:) Did you sit in it?

I like the tone and details of the chair. Although, I didn't really like its background.

I would have had to have sat in it to see if it's comfortable. I like it, but I'm guessing it's not. Did you sit in it?

@sherri: Yes Sherri. It was very uncomfortable!
Great chair, you get a lot of this kind of thing in garden centres over here, hand crafted, often with price tags to match.

Clearly a chair built for personal use. I hope the craftsman had years of comfort in it, sitting, watching his garden grow.

I love the rustic furniture, we see a lot of it here in the Adirondacks, the craftsman are artists.

Comfort is the aim here I would imagine. I'm always curious about such furniture.

I can see why you were attracted to it. I love the texture of it, how detailed it is in construction including that decorative diamond shape. I've never seen one so substantial. Lots for the viewer to look at!

Handsome chair. I love walking around nurseries, at least ones like that. We have one I frequent that has all sorts of cool little nooks and crannies that you can sit in and appreciate all the flora around.
