I shot this undercutter while on a high school reunion trip to Hutchinson, kansas. The mine is 650 feet (198m) deep. It has a constant temperature of 68° (20c) and is used to store motion picture film. The electric undercutter operates somewhat like a chain saw with revolving teeth used to cut a slice under a salt deposits to enable easier blasting.
