Silly Tuesday. When Farmer Joe's wife demanded that the new barn be a considerable distance from the house... to avoid all those barnyard smells... Farmer Joe complied!
It must be lonely out there!

I guess farmer Joe has to pack his lunch to go to the barn. unusual location for a barn and a interesting image capturing its isolation.

Lovely. Looks so frail stuck out there. One puff of wind and it's gone

Exquisite, Don. It's like a lovely watercolor painting.

Well placed horizon to maximize the impact of that lovely sky. There are lots of nice subtle browns and tans in the hilly landscape.

I like it! No neighbors too close either. I'll bet this is pretty in spring and summer.

Good evening, Don,
yes, it's a funny picture and sight. The barn looks from a distance, very small and lonely. Hopefully, the way out there, not too far. I think at that distance no one smells the barn, exercise in the house. The color reproduction of the scene is brilliant.
<<Last night we had a light frost. Today the sun shone all day. By late afternoon it was raining and snowing
heavily. After that, everything was clear again and the day passed with a pink overcast sky. Here spring is coming closer and closer. The first crocuses appear even with the small flowers from the earth. In between, I try to take some pictures. Sometimes it does not work in time.>> I wish you and your family a wonderful evening and thank you for your nice comment. Stay healthy. Dear greetings Christel

did I just say Big sky country?? This is Washington?? my son spent a couple years there, and it drove him crazy, he was always surrounded by trees, and longed for the wide open spaces, which here in nebraska is all we have :) awsome shot Don!!

@Martin: The heavily treed part of Washington state is on the west wide of the mountains. On this side of the mountains we have desert, sage brush, lava disturbed area, pine forests and a heavily treed area in the northeast corner... a little bit of everything.
Farmer Joe is such a nice guy. I like this big landscape.

Hi Don, this shot looks like a scene straight out of the 'Twister' movie, just before the storm rolls in! Fantastic shot!

I like this, 'little house on the prairie' sprang to mind even before reading your title.
