On the same foggy day of Friday's shot, I made a drive-by shot of this place. The trees impressed me with their droopy branches and distinctive look against the foggy sky. Other than that, it's a typical farm home about three miles from my place.
Beautiful trees there in that compo

I like this scene.

A fine house to live in I suppose. I too like the trees and all their branches and twigs.

In the middle of nowhere! This is really wonderful. I love the atmosphere.

Good morning Don,
It looks very neat and interesting. The trees are very well expressed and enliven the whole scene. The slight mist in the background gives the scene the perfection. The color reproduction is brilliant and the entire presentation pleases me very well. <<Yesterday I dealt with various things and could not comment. Your presentation yesterday appealed to me very well and the scene was in color, very well expressed. Last night
it snowed again and then came the rain. Especially the sun comes out and I think it will be a pleasant day. Today we are in a cafe, enjoying waffles with hot cherries and cream and cappuccino.>> I wish you and your family a beautiful Sunday and thank you for your nice comment. Dear greetings Christel

Here I am again. With the transfer to your page, not something worked. I was then not even in my own page. I think that occurred in aminus a mistake that has now been fixed again. Now I'm the third time today on your side. All good things come in threes. For that I give you 5 stars ***** Dear greetings Christel
It can now only get better.

Don, that foggy background really makes the trees pop. Lots of detail in those tree branches too. I'm impressed with the results you're getting with the Canon S90.

A beautiful looked after, and well tallied composition, good works Don

My goodness, Don.... those trees are magnificent! Almost bleeding colour and so beautifully captured. The fog emphasizes the detail. A great scene captured here.
21 Feb 2010 3:28pm
Fine capture, Don. I love those trees.

Magnifique que les arbres qui se détachent ainsi. Très beau cliché...
Maison sympa aussi. Bonne soirée

What beautiful winter trees. They really lend a sense of scale to this house that is completely dwarfed by their majesty and size.
21 Feb 2010 5:57pm
A great peaceful scene!

Wow drive by and you have got it so crisp and clear. great shot.

I can't believe your drivebys are always so clear and crisp. You can see every detail in those branches. A very neat-looking farm.

The wisps on the tree branches is amazing! I can not stop looking at them!

Wow...that is a fine landscape !
So sharp and lively... I can almost touch it :-0

Really nice landscape for rural America....those weeping willows are more defined by the fog. Nice capture.
22 Feb 2010 1:35am
They have beautiful trees. That one looks like a Weeping Willow in the bud stage.
22 Feb 2010 3:26am
I love this...I noticed a weeping willow on one of our drives the other day looking like that one on the right. They are ready for spring, also.
22 Feb 2010 4:40am
Nice shot, lots of detail, I wonder what people think if they see you stop to take these shots?
22 Feb 2010 12:31pm
@John: I usually don't stop John. That would be dangerous. A car could easily surprise me coming around the many curves. I did put my window down for this one, but drove by at the regular speed.

The fog or mist really makes this building complex and the spreading trees jump out. The mostly flat color is somewhat broken by the red outbuilding only partially visible, so I wonder how this one would look in B&W or perhaps in sepia.
22 Feb 2010 3:52pm
That willow is showing some color. I was at Green Lake, in Seattle, on Saturday. A big willow there was wearing its new leaves.
22 Feb 2010 5:57pm
what a lovely scene. I can see why you wanted to capture it. nice!
23 Feb 2010 12:25am
the fog sure diffused the lighting here.. i do love the quality of light you captured here.. looks so quiet.. very nice shot.. :)
23 Feb 2010 12:47am
These trees do make the shot. I love the wispy branches.
