This partially frozen pond had sufficient water that a flock of ducks had landed and quickly moved to some grain left by the side of the pool. I liked their tracks across the snow. This isn't much of a picture...kind of a so-so Sunday shot! :-)
It is not just a so-so Sunday shot! It's wonderful & I love it, but I'm partial to your photos, especially your b&ws!

Still, an interesting photo; a pity you did not zoom in on the ducks.

@Wim van der Meij: The 6x7cm camera I was using has fixed 80mm lens. It makes me appreciate our ability to zoom in today.
Speaking of ponds today - very nice b&w shot

Good evening, Don,
all your pictures are a delight for me to look at them. They have that certain flair, always present the correct images. This presentation pleases me very well again, and the choice of colors. It is all very well expressed. I wish you and your family a nice rest of Valentine's Day or evening, and thank you sincerely for all your nice comments. <<How It's snowing since yesterday and there is no end to sehen.>> Dear greetings Christel

Love the processing on this one. Beautiful winter landscape!

It works for me, Don. Definitely more than so-so. I love the trails the ducks left through the snow.
14 Feb 2010 8:03pm
I wondered why they weren't in the water. The corn explains it. I like all those tracks.
14 Feb 2010 8:37pm
Very good capture, love reflections !

J'aime beaucoup les tons... Et surtout le ciel !...
14 Feb 2010 9:28pm
Lovely winter scene. The swampy grass is delightful, but I had to squint to see the ducks.

Don, a very nice image. The reflections in the partially frozen pond add interest.

So pretty in greyscale. I like those reeds in the forefront.
15 Feb 2010 4:09am
I like how there are so many horizontal planes from the grasses in front to the trees in back, with everything else in between.

All is not isolated....the ducks are here. Beautiful monochrome! Enjoyed viewing more of your series. Thanks for stopping by to visit and leaving a comment.

I love the shot, but the little black things: ducks? ;-)
15 Feb 2010 1:33pm
Wonderful black and white. The white ice hiding some of the sky's reflection. Awesome shot!
