A lake in the Teton range of Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. Note the fire lookout on the top of this mountain. I thought I could locate that fire look online, but was unable to do so. So the lake remains nameless unless one of you sharp eyed bloggers recognize this place.
Love the wispy clouds in the front of the mountains, glorious landscape. I don't think I would have seen the lookout if you hadn't mentioned it. I hope someone can identify this place.

This is idyllic, Don. Absolutely beautiful!

An idyllic place. The B&W is a good choice here (is it an early photo?) I love the band of cloud in front of the mountain.

@Wim van der Meij: Yes, this negative must be 35-40 years old. The old negatives have artifacts and debris (even though kept in negative envelopes), but they are fun to scan. I wonder if my current digital images will be around in 40 years? :-)
As beautiful as it is, I wish i did know this location well enough to name the lake. Nice exposure and tone control.

I don't know the name of the lake, but MY GOD, it's BEAUTIFUL! I can see a house built there w/ me living in it waking up every morning to that view! What a way to start my day!!!

Incredible landscape shot Don, can you remember what you used to shoot it worth?

@Curly: I was using a Rolleiflex 3.5 at the time with T-MAX 400 film.
This is incredibly beautiful! Great work, Don.

An extraordinary image, Don. The mid-mountain cloud layers both in the air and in the reflection are wonderful additions to an already well composed and exposed landscape. Ansel Adams once said "Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter." Which makes light of the skill involved but does point out the luck.

That is astounding. The wispy clouds really make the shot.

Reminds me of Ansel Adam's work. Awesome.

5 stars Don.....Just amazing.....being black and white it makes this looks like an old photo. Just perfect with this beautiful reflection of clouds and the fog lingering in between the mountains....definitely a 5 star capture ;)

Magnificent, Don. The framing, the reflection, the mountain but above all the wispy cloud. This is an inspiration
