Don - Slackwater (
These dead branches have been whitened by deposits from the rising and falling of the highly mineralized water of Granite Lake near Spokane. I used these branches and the under water rocks to refine my exposure skills with
a medium format film cameral. I wanted to show the under water rocks and the white branches in a full range of tones.
You've achieved the goal of capturing the underwater rocks very well!

Nicely done natural still life and interesting explanation. That salt radiates light and the granite(?) texture is powerful

The tones come out nicely. What was the film. I was a big Ilford HP4 fan back in the old darkroom days.

Michael - This was taken with T-MAX 400. I liked Ilford too...nice, smooth results.

You have certainly succeeded Don, the underwater rocks are clearly visible. Very good shot, but has the medium format showed more than digital can....?

You did this exceptionally well Don. You have the high contrast of the whites you wanted and you still have great detail, nice gritty detail in the rocks.
