Boats

This is a scanned large format negative from my archives. In packing to move I've located several boxes of old negatives including these of a larger format. I was using the zone system to establish the range of tones I wanted to record in the negative. Then, I adjusted the enlarging time and contrast filter when printing to produce the wide range of tones I wanted. It is much easier now in PS.

Thanks to technology it is alot easier now. I think it is also a little enviromentally friendlier than before. No more chemicals. A great shot. I think you have covered all the zones here. Well done.

This is wonderful. I am taking a B&W analog photography class, complete with darkroom work. It is a challenge and I am struggling to see a world without color and make the most of it. I'm spoiled by my dSLR but this is good for improving my skills.
