These huge basalt boulders are strewn all along the area known as the Bowl and Pitcher in Riverside State Park on the Spokane River. The high water of the run off has made swimming or floating on the river extremely dangerous. This picture shows moderate water levels in the fall. This shot is part of my 'show the terrain of eastern Washington' series I'm gradually developing.
