The Spokane River and the Little Spokane River converge at Nine Mile Dam creating Long Lake. During spring runoffs, a fine view of the Nine Mile dam spillway can be obtained from the site of an early bridge where I took this picture.. The dam is 58 free high (17.6m) and 363 feet long (79.8m). You can imagine the roar of the falls.
