Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge

While visiting Newport, Washington, we crossed into Idaho where we found this wetlands area that look very large and a great place to birds and other wildlife to enjoy. It had a few observation places to stop, but no hiking was allowed.

Pretty shot Don. Love the season now which is wet and lush and often grey humid skys. I'm afraid it was short and sweet however, as we have real high temps now and in upcoming prediction. I will sadly watch our terrain dry up and again, change, so fast. Makes one appreciative of the Present.

A BEAUTIFUL SHOT! Wouldn't it be fun to see all the wildlife when it comes to drink? My daughter and I were in a California setting similar to this, and there were large paw prints around the lake. Most likely mountain lions and maybe bear.
