Cow Peas?

Posted by Don (Spokane, United States) on 29 October 2011 in Landscape & Rural.

I saw this field and thought the rows looked like some kind of peas. I walked to the end where I could get this view with the buildings in the distance. Adjusting to a small f-stop, I tried for the best range of focus I could...and took this shot. A scanned medium format negative.

Wonderfully seen and captured. The B+W treatment really brings out the shapes and sinewy nature of the fields, plants. Well done! stars. :OD

These leading lines are so appealing particularly with the light and shadow. Love that there is more for the eye to see beyond where the lines lead.

Farmland is so beautiful. Growing up in the midwest I found it really boring. Now, since I rarely seen farms, I'm totally fascinated by them.

You demonstrate your skill with a camera in this shot, Don. Great DoF and use of the rows as compositional elements. Soybeans, perhaps?
