Sagging

Posted by Don (Spokane, United States) on 28 December 2010 in Landscape & Rural.

A barn in sad shape. The other side was propped up with support poles, but it obviously continues to sag and decay. Apparently used in a very limited way. A barn is posted to partcipate in Barn Charm at http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com/

For as rickety as it is I'm surprised the paint looks so good.

Ohhh the poor sad thing... It's still beautiful, to me, though! I don't think I'd be brave enough to explore this one, too dangerous! LoL! =)

Such a sad thing to see. I love barns so much. Probably isn't much hope for it. But it's a beautiful shot.

Good evening, Don
The interior of the barn looks more sad than the exterior. I look at the entrance to the barn and think that the barn is still repairable and might be useful. The color harmony in the overall view including shadow and sunlight is expressed excellently. 5 stars ***** Today's thaw. All sidewalks are sometimes smooth and slippery. Several hours of my walk with Ranger was eventful. We both skidded on the slippery sidewalks along and had fun. In between, some roads were strewn with small stones so that no one slips. The roads were muddy and there were puddles everywhere. The outside temperature is 1.5 degrees Celsius plus. Thank you for your nice comment. The link to the video I looked at it. The snow depth is remarkable. Have a nice time and all the best including your family and friends. I hope Luke feel good. Dear greetings Christel, Detlev and Ranger.

gosh, it certainly is in rough condition. I noticed Sherri's comment and she has a point but it appears to be protected from the sun so that's likely why the paint has not been badly faded or blistered. I think it's important to have photos of these buildings. One day they will no longer exist.

It just needs a little paint and it will be good as new.

Strange how the paint is so good when the rest is in decay.

A shot worthy of repeting as the barn continues to deteriorate. Too soon a pile of lumber.

Anne from a little red dot, Singapore

Its colour still looks good red..so it will eventually sag altogether -- sad! Wonderful capture!
