Little Falls Dam

Posted by Slackwater - don (spokane, United States) on 4 November 2009 in Documentary & Street.

The smooth water above the Little Falls Dam is deceptively smooth and inviting of the unwary. This shot of the overflow shows the enormous power which would suck any boat or floating object over the dam very quickly. The white water blew out to blank white, but I liked the dynamic appeal of the heavy water flow. From last spring.

Water can be a very destructive force for sure!

Beautifully composed Don with the cotrast between stillness and frenzy. those little uprights on the edge have a profound effect on the water don't they.

You found a terrific vantage point. At first glance I thought that one pole was a person. Silly me.

Good evening, Don,
You're right, it is too dangerous to cross this dam. They have reproduced the moment and the naturalness of the water very well. I hear the rushing water and feel the power emanating from it. Thank you for all your comments on my web page. Dear greetings Christel
