Bird HousePosted by Slackwater - don (spokane, United States) on 3 November 2009 in Landscape & Rural. A drive by shot of an abandoned farm home in the Palouse country on our way to Lewiston, Idaho. Sadly, the birds seem to be the only creatures interested in this place.

bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThis looks like the perfect haunted house to me...there is such an ominous feel, and eerie quiet. Excellent photo. 3 Nov 2009 5:41am k@ from Paris, FranceEdward Hopper would have loved to paint this I guess ! Will the birds have to move elsewhere? 3 Nov 2009 4:56pm Ken from United StatesWhat a great find! I think it would work in B&W too! 3 Nov 2009 5:43pm Christel from Köln, GermanyGood evening, Don, 3 Nov 2009 7:27pm Michael from Shell village, United KingdomMaybe it's the house from Hitchcocks 'The Birds', you had a lucky escape. But a beauty of an image. 3 Nov 2009 11:49pm Candace from Phoenix, AZ, United StatesThat is a very weathered house! I like it, I think, with a little (or lot of ) TLC that it could be a very attractive house. Of course, that takes $$ which isn't plentiful right now. Hopefully, someday someone will restore it to its original splendor. 4 Nov 2009 2:00am Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United StatesIt does look like a nice home for these birds....at least something will get use from it :) I love the angle that you took this photo. 4 Nov 2009 2:15am MARIANA from Waterloo, CanadaBEautiful capture. Such a lovely and sad feeling about this house. And even these little birds on dry branches give more sadness here ! 4 Nov 2009 3:03pm |
