Lewiston on the SnakePosted by Slackwater - don (spokane, United States) on 1 November 2009 in Landscape & Rural. I'll try to make this oversize so you can see the details of the roads snaking down the hill toward Lewiston. The river running across the image is the Clearwater while the one coming in from the center is the Snake. The overlook is at 2756ft (840m) while Lewiston down on the Clearwater and Snake Rivers is at 740ft (230m). Three pictures were used to create this panorama. But that is the problem with panoramas on our blogs. We needs to come down that hill to truly appreciate it. (I remember the days of the old Whitebird Hill; highway engineering took all of the fun out of it.) 1 Nov 2009 3:24pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesWoops!
