Frank's Diner

Posted by Slackwater - don (spokane, United States) on 1 July 2009 in Food & Cuisine.

Yesterday's picture of the wheels under Frank's Diner obviously makes one wonder when will we get to see inside Franks. This was shot at a much less busy time than normal when this counter is filled with individuals. Beyond are 2 and 4 person booths plus a large table at the rear for larger groups. Frank's Diner has won 'best breakfast' in Spokane for a number of years running. A visit in the morning usually requires a wait to be seated, but is well worth the wait!

Very beautiful place for the breakfast ! I like the "Art nouveau" (maybe) decoration.

I love the warm tones and the quality of light, especially on the chairs. A very inviting photo of a very inviting place. Those cooks are really crammed in there together, though, it appears.

This is a very tasty shot, Don. It would be worth going there just to see the inside. The good food is a bonus.

An excellent shot under what I am sure were "challenging" lighting conditions

Such a beautiful little place....I love the lighting you captured in this photo! Everything is kept so nice. The lights look almost antique and the cooks wear chef coats...very nice!

I've often driven by this when in Spokane, Don. I always want to stop and eat there, but never seem to have the time.

fantastic perspective and great clarity. This really is a genuine diner ... there are so many diners in the US but few are still in the old diner cars. I wish we had something similar here in Canada -- on a side note, my husband & I are 'hooked' on the show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!
Great shot Don!
