Country LivingPosted by Slackwater - don (spokane, United States) on 15 March 2009 in Landscape & Rural. This is about 10 miles (16k) south of Spokane. I include this as part of a series I've posted showing the diverse countryside in eastern Washington that includes forested mountains, high desert, scab land of broken lava and sage brush, and the palouse where grain crops are king. The western side of the state is another and different story.
